The rovers Opportunity and Curiosity will soon be joined by a new rover (not named yet) that will bring the first helicopter to fly on another planet! Mars rovers are paving the way for astronauts to soon follow. What is Mars like? Is it similar to Earth? How long will it take to get there? This journey to the red planet will answer all these questions and more. This intergalactic adventure at Valley Library will be presented by Christopher Mick of Space St. Croix.

Let's Make Stuff: Recycled Christmas Cards

We will make greeting cards by recycling used greeting cards for all occasions in this Let's Make Stuff program at R.H. Stafford Library. Techniques include paper tearing, cutting, embossing, embellishment with string, cording, metals, punches, and rubber stamping. Please collect and bring recycled greeting cards! Bring along the entire card, including inside sentiments if possible. Almost every part of the card can be recycled! You will be able to bring home several completed cards. Registration is required.
