Join the Washington County Library Google CS First Coding Club to learn how to use the technology that powers your favorite apps, websites, video games, robots, and more.
The R.H. Stafford Coding Club meets weekly for 8 weeks. Participants will need to attend all sessions. Coding clubs are for pre-teens and teens in grades 7 through 10.
The coding club will use Google CS First lessons to teach "Music & Sound with Scratch." At the end of the club, participants will be able to create and share their own digital music, made using the Scratch coding tool. Popular artists across the globe us this type of technology to create their own digital music for albums, backing tracks, or even for use in movies and video games.
You can attend any session you'd like to see if you're interested in it the club - you do not need to attend every session! Registration is encouraged but not required. Class size is limited. No previous computer experience is necessary.
